New Frontiers Programme Recruiting in the Midlands

New Frontiers is the national entrepreneur development programme, funded and coordinated by Enterprise Ireland.  New Frontiers provides targeted and accelerated support for innovative and early stage high potential startups.  Nationally, the programme is delivered by the Institutes of Technology across the country.  In the Midlands, Athlone Institute of Technology in partnership with NUI Maynooth deliver New Frontiers.  Institute of Technology Carlow also deliver the programme in nearby Carlow Town.

If youNew Frontiers have an innovative business idea and are planning to establish and run your own company the New Frontiers Entrepreneur Development Programme can provide you with a package ofsupports to help accelerate your business development and to equip you with the skills and contacts that you need to successfully start and grow yourcompany.

New Frontiers is organised in three phases.  Phase 1 focuses on developing the idea, concept and explores the business feasibility. This generally takes place over 6-8 weeks. Phase 2 provides a broader and more comprehensive package of supports over a six month period for those entrepreneurs that demonstrate the potential to develop international businesses. The phase two supports include:

  • Structured business development training over an intensive 6-month period commencing in July 2014 in AIT/NUI Maynooth and commencing in September 2014 in IT Carlow. 
  • State-of-the-art start-up facilities at each campus.
  • €15,000 salary support from Enterprise Ireland in the form of a scholarship.
  • Access to the facilities and resources of the 3rd level institute.
  • Access to industry expertise and networks.
  • Business strategy development, planning and execution.
  • 1:1 mentoring and business coaching.
  • A further 4-month business development support phase for qualifying participants.
  • No participant fee.
